The start of year feast is attended by all staff and students living on the grounds of Hogwarts. It is the first place the first years are taken so they can be sorted in front of the rest of the school by by the infamous Sorting Hat. All first years are to step up to the stool when called upon by deputy headmistress McGonagall to be sorted into the house before seating themselves at the correct tables. Other Students are to seat themselves in year order with Seventh years at the back at the hall at their respective house tables while staff occupy the table at the front. After the Ceremony Headmaster Dumbledore will give a few words before beginning the feast. After everyone has had there fill he will give out any announcements before the prefects and head boy and girl show the new first years to there common rooms. Then everyone is free to leave.

TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME
After doing her Head Girl duties aboard the Hogwarts Express CK left the scarlet train and helped some lost first years fine there way over to Hagrid before she made her way over to the threstral drawn carriages that took the rest of the students from Hogsmeade station to the castle. Climbing up into the open top carriage as the weather was rather nice for a September afternoon she seated herself with some fellow seventh years for the sort ride up to the castle. Along the trip they chatted about their holidays and the ups and downs they had over the summer. CK told them all about the wonderful Japaneses gardens she looked around with her father as it had been part of her seventh birthday present. The plants may have not been magical since she came from a muggle family but she still enjoyed them all the same as she thought all plants where rather magnificent.
Then upon arriving at Hogwarts she said farewell to those of her friends in different houses to her own before heading with those in her house down to the basement where the Hufflepuff common room was located. As they passed the kitchen the seem of the feast being prepared was delicious but they would have to wait till after the ceremony to indulge into it's pleasures. So entering the common room CK went to the seventh year girls dorm and changed into her Hufflepuff robes to attended her last sorting feast. Then after donning her robes of black and gold she headed up to the great hall making sure she was there rather early as she had to make sure everyone was behaving being the new head girl of Hogwarts so she stood at the end nearest the door of the Hufflepuff table greeting though who passed her to take there seats at their respective house tables whether it be Hufflepuff or one of the other houses of Hogwarts.

Gabriel stepped off the train and took in the air before looking around. He was excited, even though it did not show on his face. He could not wait to get back to classes, and learn new spell, and more so new potions. He always had been like this ever since he first joined Hogwarts.
It was his fifth year at this extraordinary school, and he was a little annoyed that he had not made prefect, but at the end of the day he was still on the school Quidditch Team. This was his third year as one of Hufflepuff’s house beaters, and that was another thing he could not wait to get back to.
Along side studying and training for his future he had been practicing he beater skills over the summer so he was better then ever. He couldn’t wait to see the looks on the other teams’ faces when he showed what he could do.
Once he took everything in he walked over to the coaches. He felt a little constricted in them, so he never got in, instead he jogged along side them. He was not in his school robes yet, so he was not worry about getting dusty. He was wearing his Muggle clothes of jogging bottoms, trainers and a hooded jumper.
Because of his long legs he kept up with the back coaches quite easily, his long striding legs moving fair smoothly along the roadside. He saw a couple of first years gawking at him, and he gave them a looked that scared most people. They looked around and Gabriel went back to his own thoughts.
When they had reached the school he went straight to the Hufflepuff common room, and then the boys’ dorm rooms to get changed into his school robes. He then went straight to the great hall.
He saw the same first years he had given a look at by the stairs getting their into talk, they gawked again and heard one of them say, oh my god, he’s a student. He sighed and went into the great hall.
Stopping to take a looked around he noticed the head girl next to him, he looked at her and gave her a brief, sharp nod.

After a long agonizing journey from Kings Cross Station to Hogsmeade Station and Ellyon was glad for the end of the long journey. She had spent most of the journey jumping between compartments to try and satisfy her need to move. So getting of the train was a relief as it meant she could move around after only a short carriage ride and also that she was almost back at Hogwarts. On the carriage ride she chatted with those who was with her talking of the events of the summer. One thing Ellyon kept to herself was the rather strange dream like visit that she had received from her house founder Godric Gryffindor. He had told her that she was his true descendant and told her that she must find the other founder children attending Hogwarts and band together to help defeat the dark lord he who must not be named. It was all very confusing to Ellyon and she didn't want anybody to know that she was the descendant of a founder yet as she wasn't ready herself.
Sighing when they reached the castle of magic she left the carriage with her fellow Gryffindor's before heading up seventh floor on the mischievous stair cases which changed on them a couple of times. Saying the common room password to the portrait of the Fat Lady the door swung open and she made her way inside though the portrait hole. Heading up to the fifth year girls dormitory she changed into her robes that had already been brought up and her trunk placed at the end of her bed. With her red and gold robes of the lion in places she made sure her tie was straight and tucked into her sweater before heading back down the meddlesome staircases down to the great hall. The was a few Gryffindor's who had already made it down to the great hall so she made her way down to where a few of the fifth years had already gather on the Gryffindor table before taking a seat with them a warming smile to her housemates.
hey it’s, completed! cause you’re awesome, everyone they’re all, 351 i love them, template @ + stockholm syndrome lyrics @ the script *live like we’re dying just letting you know, “ we're back at Hogwarts ”

Justin smiled and took a gulp of air. How he had missed Hogwarts! Of course it was good to get away from the school for holdays but Justin would miss it when he left. He saw all the First Years and smiled, remembering the first time he had been here. He got on a carriage driven by Thestrals, creatures who you could only see if you’d seen a loved one die in front of your eyes. Once at the castle, Justin went to the Ravenclaw table – he’d changed on the way to the school, as silly as it sounded. The Ravenclaw genius liked to be ready before coming back – the Ravenclaw Tower was so far. He honestly didn’t know why the others just didn’t do the same, it was far more practical that way.
There seemed to be someone already there: Luna Lovegood. Most thought of her as weird but Justin liked weird. Being normal was overrated in his opinion. He greeted her and sat next to her. He didn’t disturb her since she was reading The Quibbler upside down so instead he just sat there, pondering over his ancestor visiting him over the summer. He had to help Harry Potter defeat He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. They all had to, the Founders’ descendants. In which case, Justin would have to find them – yes, including Slytherin’s descendant.

tag; everyone! outfit; Hufflepuff school robes , words; 322 Notes; When do we eat! Lily was very glad the ride to Hogwarts was over. She had spent most of her time walking around finding her friends and maybe an unfriendly person here or there. Most of the time Lily was exchanging summer details with her friends though not every detail, she had kept a special detail to herself, but after a while of repeating her summer she grew annoyed and decided just to wonder around aimlessly looking for something to do other than repeat her summer all over again to her friends. Unfortunately, Lily had not found anything interesting to do. Upon reaching the station Lily was glad for the fresh air; she felt as if she were floating, this had definitely been the most boring Hogwarts ride ever. After finding three of her friends, she boarded the four people carriages with them. Lily spotted a boy from her house jogging along the carriages. ‘I guess I’m not the only one who felt closed up on the train’ she thought. Inside the carriage Lily and the three other passengers talked about the upcoming year and events occurring in the wizarding world at this moment. Upon reaching the castle Lily remembered the first time here, how she stood frozen looking up at the castle, traveling to the castle in the boats. Once entering the castle Lily slowed down to take in the familiar sights, the Staircase, the door leading to her common room, the great hall. Upon remembering the grand hall Lily picked up her pace, she was very hungry, during the ride she had not ate the sandwiches she had packed. Lily quickly walked toward her house table she spotted the Head Girl a fellow Hufflepuff wearing similar yellow and black robes as she was herself. Lily walked down the aisle until reaching a section where fellow fifth years were sitting at. Lily sat next to the boy she had spotted running. ‘I hope the sorting isn’t too long’ Lily thought to herself as her stomach growled with hunger.

Luna Lovegood had spent most of the journey to Hogwarts either handing out her father's publication of The Quibbler or reading it herself. When the train finally pulled into Hogsmeade station Luna exited the train depositing the remaining Quibbler's into her bag before making her way over to the carriages. Unlike most people Luna was able to see the creatures that drew the carriages so before getting in she gently stroked the thestrals mussel. Then as she sat ready the Quibbler she heard somebody trying to tell their friends there was something pulling the carriage though his friends said their wasn't. "Your not the only one. I can see them two." She said slowly bringing her Quibbler down to see who it was. In front of the carriage was Harry Potter and his friends and since she was alone they proceed to get into the carriage.
They had brief introductions and when Hermione commented on her necklace she told them that it was to stop Knargles as she suspected it was them taking her things. The rest of the ride a quite chatter carried about the carriage until the came to the castle when she left the group to head up to the Ravenclaw tower. She changed quickly and somehow managed to be to first Ravenclaw to make it to the Ravenclaw table. So she took the copy of the Quibbler she had been reading out of the pocket of her robes so she was able to read it. But she didn't read it the conventional way as instead she held it upside down as she liked to challenge herself and after all she was a Ravenclaw so she liked to push herself. Then somebody came and sat next to her so glancing sideways slightly she found that it was one of the few people who didn't criticize her for being different. "Hello Justin." Luna said in her usual day dream demeanor as she lowered her Quibbler to the table.

Post by Circe Dumbledore on Jul 29, 2010 18:19:40 GMT
Another interesting year was about to start at Hogwarts, and Circe Dumbledore was excited, though she was worried for her Great-Uncle Albus. She wondered what this year would bring. The Ministry hadn’t believed Harry and Professor Dumbledore when they had said that Voldermort was back. Silly fools! They didn’t understand the severity of the situation and wouldn’t until it was too late. Getting the Ministry out of her head for the time being, CC went to find some of her friends and rode in the carriages, chatting away about the summer holidays. When she got off Circe stroked the Thestrals, murmuring thanks before going to the castle.
Circe was especially excited this year since her younger brother was coming to Hogwarts this year. She was sure he’d get in Gryffindor. Going to where the Gryffindor common room, she raced past several other Gryffindors and dashed to where the girls’ dorm was, she changed into her robes. She dabbed some water on her face, feeling a little refreshed. Sighing, she looked down at a photo of her family. She missed her parents dearly and so wanted to make Malfoy and the others pay for what they had done. Sighing and getting the anger to leave her, CC went downstairs and smiled when she saw her brother. She was so glad he was here, under her protection. Dumbledore’s great-niece gave her brother a quick little wave and then went to sit at her table, with the other 5th Year Gryffindors. She greeted them and began to chat, all the while pondering about how this year would be like.

As the train pulled up to the landing at Hogwarts, a girl was woken from her deep sleep due to the jarring motion of the train. Blinking the sleep from her eyes, Bethany yawned and stretched before standing and heading for the door of the train. Still feeling quite groggy (she hadn’t gotten much sleep the night before due to last minute packing), she hopped into one of the carriages and was whisked off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Listening to the conversation of those around her, Bethany took the time to admire the scenery around her. She was going to be entering her fifth year at Hogwarts and, although she didn’t show it, Bethany was extremely excited at the prospect. A small smile graced her features as the carriage rolled along.
When they finally arrived at Hogwarts, Beth made her way leisurely up to Gryffindor tower, her hands in the pockets of her faded jeans, with a black jacket over her top to keep the cool night air out. Minutes later saw her rifling through her trunk searching for her robes. Normally a neat person, her trunk was a complete mess, but I suppose that’s what you get for packing the day before leaving for school. After finally finding them hiding under her Ancient Runes book she pulled them on and made her way back to the Great Hall. Walking into the room, Bethany sauntered over to where a few of her fifth year friends were seated and took a seat, waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Halton stood up as the train slowed to a stop at Hogsmeade Station, moving through the crowds of excited young witches and wizards to get to the platform. He was quiet as he went about it, avoiding speaking. A lot of the new kids moved hurriedly out of the older Slytherin's way, having heard of his House's reputation. They didn't want to get on his bad side, especially not before the term even started. Truth was, Halt didn't really care. He just wanted to be left alone, and he'd be all set. If they became Slytherins too, awesome. If they were in a different House, they should steer clear, because as a general rule the other Houses stereotyped Slytherins and so as a general rule, Halton hated the other Houses.
Climbing into an empty carriage, Halt was soon joined by a few other Slytherins he knew, but he didn’t join in their conversation as the thestrals pulled them up the drive to the school. He was silent too as they walked in threw the oak front doors and turned right, into the Great Hall. His new school robes swished around his ankles as he moved swiftly to sit near the back of the Hall with his fellow classmates, and here, he listened to their conversations, but still didn’t talk. He glared at, and was glared at by, several students in other Houses passing by, and even a few Slytherins who weren’t fond of him. This included some Slytherin Keepers who would also be trying out for the House team.
Hungry, Halt took a chocolate frog out of his pocket, opened it and quickly bit off the frog’s head. He tossed the card on the table, fair game for anyone who may want it, he didn’t care. Taking his wand out of his pocket and playing with it, Halt waited semi-patiently for the new first years to be led in to the Hall.

After patrolling the train, as a Prefect usually does, and fooling around with a few second years, Draco made his way to the carriage that contained the few people who don't completely annoy him. He sat down in the same seat he occupied every year on his way to the hell everyone called Hogwarts, accompanied by the usual "friends," Goyle and Crabbe. Thoughts about the classes he'll be attending and the new people that have come to bug him crossed his mind, only making him dread arriving at the school even more. Maybe this year will be different. After all, he has some power now, being Prefect and all. That may make thing a bit more bearable than usual.
The Hogwarts Express came to a stop with a jolt, waking the youngest Malfoy from his daydream- or nightmare. He let all the other students exit first, then he followed behind them. Stepping off the train, some of the newbies stopped to look at him, obviously already heard of his reputation- his and his house's. It wasn't hard to make his way through the crowd, since most of them moved willingly. Those who didn't were pushed out of his way by the two goons striding along side of him.
Malfoy jumped onto a carriage that was empty except for one other Slytherin. As long as it wasn't a Gryffindor, he could bare it. He didn't talk that much anyway, not to others outside his little circle. A few minutes passed before he came up to the castle and wandered inside, making his way toward the Great Hall like usual, placing himself at a table next to fellow Slytherins that he got along fairly well with. He let out an impatient sigh as he ran a hand through his hand and drummed his fingers on the table, waiting for the fresh meat to make their entrance into the hall.

( hey, soul sister ) ( ain't that mister mister on the radio, stereo ) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -It was Jonathan's third year as Hogwarts Muggle Studies teacher and now he had grown accustomed to the yearly trip he had to make to Hogwarts. Now he would have arrived the day before so her could set up his belongings, but this year his daughter Mallory had come of age to attend the school of witchcraft and magic. So that morning he had been stood and platform 9 3/4 with his wife Harriot as he waved his little girl off saying that he would see her in the great hall. Then he had to hurry back home to get his things before apperating to Hogsmeade as it was impossible to apperate into Hogwarts with all it's magical boundaries. So he had to tromp his belongings up the long driveway that lead to the school which wasn't as easy as he expected. In the end he ended up charming his bags to float along themselves behind him.
He reached the castle just after noon so after visiting the house elves the have some lunch he headed back to his quarters to set up his room and his office. It took him longer than he thought to do it as he almost lost track of time and when he looked at his watch it was quarter to six.So he hurriedly dressed into some smarted robes for the ceremony before he half sprinted half walked down to the hall for the feast. When he arrived he found that he wasn't late which made him sigh with relief. So straightening his robes he walked down the center isle of the great hall greeting the familiar faces he passed on his way down to the front of the hall. Jonathan seated himself on the right hand side of his old head of house Flilus Flitwick who was already present as he got on quite well with the charms professor.

He watched his Grandfather disappear as the train pulled away from the platform, and once he was completely gone from sight he headed to the same compartment that his older sister, Circie, had disappeared to. For most the train ride he stared out of the window and watched the scenery as it flowed past the window, as he did so he began to try and decide weightier this was the best birthday that he had had so far or not. Near the end of the train ride he had fallen asleep and had to be shook awake by his sister. When she was out of the compartment he quickly changed into his new school robes. He left the train, after being assured that the owl he had been given for his birthday present that morning would be perfectly fine.
He mulled around a staff member of the school who had been calling for the first years. He couldn’t help but watch where all the other students of Hogwarts were heading as he waited for the rest of his fellow first years to gather around. When all of the first years had gathered around they were lead to what appeared to be giant boats. He boarded one, and had the job of holding the lamp so that he and the others could see. He was absolutely mesmerised by the view of the castle as they crossed what he guessed was the lake that he had been told about. To be honest he was presently surprised that his Grandfather actually allowed him and his sister to attend Hogwarts, considering how much he disliked his older brother.
Once off the boat they were lead up a staircase and were told to wait there. Most of the adolescents began to socialise but he didn’t. He preferred to wait quietly as he anxiously awaited the sorting ceremony. He waved back at his sister when she waved at him, glad that she wouldn’t be leaving him again this year.

Alina hugged her parents with a big smile as they bid her goodbye, both telling her how proud they were. Alina turned and was guided on board by Tino, telling her where the steps were and which compartment had a seat. She moved slowly down the hall, stopping for a moment when the train began to move, then sat down in a compartment with a few other students. For most of the train ride, they were marveling over Tino, who basked in the attention like a cat. She giggled as she heard his comforting trill, the sound coming out much like a cat's pleased purr.
But before long, the students were told to put their robes on and she nodded, pulling hers on and adjusting them according to Tino's instructions. The train stopped and they stepped off. She stood confused for a moment before her ears picked out the sound of someone yelling for first years. Tino hopped up on top of her head to see better and guided her over to the man, who recognized her by the description he'd heard about Tino. The man helped them into the boat, lifting her easily and placing her in a seat. She smiled and sat silently as the boat drifted across the lake. After a while, she could hear the kids around her marveling at something and Tino whispered in her ear that it was the castle. This made her frown, wishing she could share in the awe.
But soon, they were disembarking and led to a small area where they stood and waited to be called in for the ceremony. Tino looked around for the kids they'd been on the train with, but it seemed none of them had been first years, and the people here were more in awe of the castle than they were with Tino. So she just stood quietly and waited for the teacher to return.

The Sorting Hat's SongIn times of old, when I was new, And Hogwarts barely started, The founders of our noble school Thought never to be parted.
United by a common goal, They had the selfsame yearning To make the world's best magic school And pass along their learning.
"Together we will build and teach" The four good friends decided. And never did they dream that they Might some day be divided.
For were there such friends anywhere As Slytherin and Gryffindor? Unless it was the second pair Of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw,
So how could it have gone so wrong? How could such friendships fail? Why, I was there, so I can tell The whole sad, sorry tale.
Said Slytherin, "We'll teach just those Whose ancestry's purest." Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose Intelligence is surest."
Said Gryffindor, "We'll teach all those With brave deeds to their name." Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot And treat them just the same."
These differences caused little strife When first they came to light. For each of the four founders had A house in which they might
Take only those they wanted, so, For instance, Slytherin Took only pure-blood wizards Of great cunning just like him.
And only those of sharpest mind Were taught by Ravenclaw While the bravest and the boldest Went to daring Gryffindor.
Good Hufflepuff, she took the rest and taught them all she knew, Thus, the houses and their founders Maintained friendships firm and true.
So Hogwarts worked in harmony for several happy years, but then discord crept among us feeding on our faults and fears.
The Houses that, like pillars four had once held up our school now turned upon each other and divided, sought to rule.
And for a while it seemed the school must meet an early end. what with dueling and with fighting and the clash of friend on friend.
And at last there came a morning when old Slytherin departed and though the fighting then died out he left us quite downhearted.
And never since the founders four were whittled down to three have the Houses been united as they once were meant to be.
And now the Sorting Hat is here and you all know the score: I sort you into Houses because that is what I'm for.
But this year I'll go further, listen closely to my song: though condemned I am to split you still I worry that it's wrong,
Though I must fulfill my duty and must quarter every year still I wonder whether sorting may not bring the end I fear.
Oh, know the perils, read the signs, the warning history shows, for our Hogwarts is in danger from external, deadly foes
And we must unite inside her or we'll crumble from within I have told you, I have warned you... let the Sorting now begin.
The sorting has now begun and I have decided that since we haven't got a McGonagal yet Jonathan Popple will post next do the sorting as McGonagal would do then please post in this order. Though if you havn't post yet please wait till after Jonathon has posted then just slot yourself in. After Johnaton, Cynthia Hale, Gabriel Richards, Ellyon Merryweather, Justin Grant, Luna Lovegood, Circe Dumbledore, Bethany Hunter, Halton Fear, Draco Malfoy, Delwyn Dumbledore, Alina Sparrow.
