Post by Luna Lovegood on Nov 19, 2010 10:05:26 GMT
The term at Hogwarts had just begun and students of the school had returned to the halls of the castle along with all the staff. Among those students was the forth year Ravenclaw Luna Lovegood. Many though of her a strange or Loopy as they had adeptly nicknamed her. And though it may be true Luna didn't mind their jeers and comments. Instead she just ignored them while off in her own little daydream of a world. So on the morning of Monday the forth the first day of classes Luna woke from her dreams far earlier than the dorm mates of her house. She sat up in bed and glance out of the window looking out at the rising sun which spilled it golden rays of light over the castle grounds bathing it in a warm morning light. The weather today seemed as though it was going to be a pleasant one which brought a dreamy smile to Luna's face.
Swinging her legs over the edge of the bed Luna stretched and yawned before getting to her feet. She half walked half skipped to the bathroom where she washed her face and neck before brushing her teeth. Then re-entering her dorm she unlatched the lid of her trunk which stood at the end of her bed before lifting the lid. At the tops folded neatly was a fresh and clean uniform that she took out and placed on her bed and she also removed a pair of shoes which was placed on the floor. Though no doubt the would be taken soon as a practical joke on her. Dressing herself quickly Luna then continued to brush her hair which she wore down before exiting the dormitory. She headed out of the Ravenclaw tower and skipped down the stairs into the grate hall. Now you could sit at any table you like but Luna stuck to the Ravenclaw table as she always did.

Today was the first day of his magical education, and Delwyn couldn't be more excited! He had awoken at no sooner than about five in the morning. Directly after his shower he hopped over to the chair (in his blue pinstriped pajamas that he had put back on after his shower) where the garments with his new house colors on them sat and soon changed into the uniform, sliding the chain with his father's wedding ring on around his neck and tucked it beneath his V-neck sweater. He was surprised to see that the Great Hall was already somewhat filled with people and that all four tables had a mix of students. So he assumed that you were allowed to mix and mingle, so he decided to sit at the Ravenclaw table next to an unknown blond haired blue eyed girl and he started to dish up his breakfast when Beau (his barn owl) came flying in with a letter from his parents for him.

A ray of light made Ron wake up,he smiled though he hated the fact, that sun was so cruel with him by waking him early today,he definitely should tell Harry to close the curtains before going to bed last night. He got up from his bed, wore his clothes, looked himself a bit at the mirror and then went down stairs to the Common Room,it was empty if you except a few firsties that were playing Wizard chess,so he decided to move on.
Ron entered the Great Hall and walked towards the Gryffindor table. He looked at the other students who were taking their breakfast, but he wanted to check something so,he opened his bag and grabbed his Herbology book, today was a great day and he was in a great mood.He saw some first years who were fighting over a specific place at the table "Hey you!Stop that!I am sure you don't want detention for the rest of your lifes!" he shouted to them while he was pointing his prefect badge,he knew that he was overdoing it by telling them about the detention thing but he was a prefect and he had to put everything in order, that is what prefects do right?Anyway,he really couldn't understand those first years,he was more innocent at their age.He tried not to think about things like these and to concentrate at the lesson he had first.Suddenly he realized that he hadn't took the notes from the Herbology class because he had forgot to ask Hermione to give them to him.He just couldn't believe that he had forgot to ask them and right now he couldn't see someone who would be able to give them to him, neither Neville neither Hermione was around. So,he looked around slightly worried,he wasn't used to this.He usually doesn't forget to ask the notes. He was just too lazy to write notes while he was at class and Hermione always knew everything about everything so,it isn't a bad thing to ask for a bit help....is it?

Post by Circe Dumbledore on Nov 24, 2010 17:40:48 GMT
Circe’s eyes fluttered open to the blinding light of the sun. Unfortunately, it was right in her eyes! Ugh, why hadn’t she closed her curtains again? She couldn’t remember. The great-niece of the Hogwarts headmaster allowed her eyes to adjust to the light. She got up and dressed herself, all the while thinking of the previous night: of how her little brother, Delwyn Dumbledore, had been sorted into Gryffindor, of how Umbridge was now the new D.A.D.A teacher and about how she had heard Hermione say to Harry that the Ministry were now interfering at Hogwarts. She frowned. She didn’t want things happening. Wasn’t Uncle Albus able to do something about this?
Sighing, she went downstairs in her school robes. The Fifth Year girl searched for any familiar faces. She smiled when she saw one: a ginger-haired boy, who was one of her favourite colleagues here at the school. She wondered where her dear younger brother was. Her eyes searched for him, and when she did find him, her smiling lips grew wider. He’d be fine with Luna. Once she’d adjusted her robes she went to her table, and sat near Ron. She’d get her stuff before her first period. It looked like Ron was struggling with Herbology.
“Need any help, Ron?” asked Circe, looking at the work.

Suddenly someone spoke to him “Need any help, Ron?” he looked at the person that had just sat next to him,it was Circe."Hello Circe!" he said with a warm smile,he was so lucky! She was here just when he needed her help."Well, actually yes.."he said and took a deep breath before he continued "I was wondering if I can borrow your Herbology notes?"he sked with a pleadingly expression at his face."I've forgot to ask Hermione's so you are my only hope...please?"he added,he knew that almost everyone thought that he was using his friends once and a while, sometimes for his essays or their notes.
He looked around, since Harry told the truth about Vol...You-Know-Who everybody was looking him weird, everyone except those who believed Harry too.The reason that they were looking at him like this is that he never hide his beliefs and everyone knew that,Harry was his best friend after all.As he was looking through the tables he saw,Circe's brother, Delwyn who was sitting next to Luna Lovegood. He slightly smiled, since he met her his oppinion about Luna was that she was a bit 'Loony'..okay maybe not just a bit but she was a nice girl so far even if she was weird, all those conversations about those Wrackspurt things were freaking him out,he looked at Circe once again "Something tells me that Delwyn will have an extra Nargle lesson.."he said with a slight laughter and pointed at her little brother.

The morning sun spilled into the fifth year gryffindor girl common room waking some of them. But Ellyon was not one of those people as her head was firmly buried in her pillow. Though as others in the dorm woke and moved around starting to make noise Ellyon couldn't hold onto her dreams any longer as she rolled over and her eyes slowly fluttered opened. A small slow groan escaped her lips as she rolled over again this time to her feet. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes Ellyon sluggishly dragged herself to her trunk and dug out her school robes. She may not seem to be a very morning person and that's because she isn't but it was the first day of term so she knew she best not be late as her parents wouldn't be very happy at all. They'd make her muck out the animals all summer as a punishment for every day she was late so she tried to avoid the phenomenon.
So once in her robes and grabbed her bag with her books in for the lesson of the day to save her having to come back up and retrieve them after breakfast. So she slumped on out of the Gryffindor common room and wearily went to the seven flights of stairs and into the great hall. Looking around she saw a familiar few faces on the Gryffindor table from her year so she went down the opposite side of the table so that she would be sat across from them. She in across from Ron and Circe two of her fellow fifth years and placed her bag on floor at her feet. "Hey CC, Hey Ron" Ellyon said offering them a small smile before letting her head go straight down on the wooden top of the table. Luckily there wasn't anything their so she didn't get any food in her hair or even bang her head on a plate.

It was already morning. They had all gathered in the hall for the breakfast.Well, almost everyone.Ginny as a true-born Weasley, went for breakfast a little bit later. She straightly headed for the Gryffindors table.
Ginny noticed that the entire Gryffindors table was looking and laughing at her.''Why are you guys laughing? If I was telling you that the previous night I was studying potions you wouldn't believe me.Okay-okay I was sleeping, but I was really studying.''Then she started eating, while she was talking with Hermione and Harry.Suddenly she wondered ''Hermione, where's Ron?Oh there you are.Again without the notes right?Classic.''

As per usual, Hermione was the very first of her dormitory to rise that morning. Though this was true enough on any average morning, this was a special occasion. Hermione always awoke especially early in order to get some extra-credit Arithmancy work done. So as her fellow Gryffindor Fifth Years were still asleep behind their bed curtains, Hermione slid out of bed and went about readying herself for the day ahead. Her pleated skirt, leggings and black shoes were in place below her Gryffindor sweater, white-buttoned up shirt and tie. All of this in turn was encompassed by her black robes with their crimson lining. There was an addition to her normal uniform this morning, however. Above the Gryffindor crest on her chest stood a golden badge with an ornate 'P' being embraced by a lion.
Hermione looked at her reflection and beamed in response. After admiring the badge for several moments, the young witch gingerly placed a neat pile of books and papers in her backpack and grasped it by the preferred strap. Hermione reached down and plucked her wand from the night stand, and as she exited the dormitory she thrust it in to the designated pocket within her robes. The common room was as deserted as it always was at this morning. Embers shone lazily in the fireplace, and owl fluttered to a perch on the mantle and Crookshanks uncoiled from an armchair and dropped to the floor, padding across the threadbare rug.
"Good morning," Hermione whispered fondly as she scratched behind the cat's ears. Crookshanks purred appreciatively, rubbed his side against her ankles and then slipped away to seek refuge beneath one of the sofas. Hermione smiled in an amused way as the ginger cat's eyes shone from beneath the furniture. "Well," she said, "see you after classes." The girl walked purposefully across the rest of the common room, disappearing through the portrait hole. The Fat Lady wasn't too pleased at being forced to open at such an early hour, but Hermione was quite used to the painting's tendencies. She apologized heartily and then set off toward the grand staircase.
Hermione wasn't the only one up so early. A great deal of Ravenclaws and a good number of Hufflepuffs were early risers as well. Sometimes you saw a student from Slytherin house up and about this early, but it usually foretold of something ominous to come. Hermione ducked behind a tapestry and took the concealed shortcut behind to bypass the grand staircase altogether. She appeared on the ground floor and shimmied between a large vase's plinth and the wall before heading straight toward the Entrance Hall. Beyond that, Hermione entered the Great Hall and admired the clear, albeit pale, skies drifting in hazy fatigues near the rafters.
The witch found her place about half-way down the Gryffindor table and took her time enjoying the quiet that was there. Only a few staff members and a handful of Ravenclaw students were present. Hermione sat down and poured herself some orange juice. After plucking a piece of toast from a nearby stack, she propped her Arithmancy book against a milk jug and began to read. Students filed in to the hall in twos and threes and larger crowds and the noise began to pick up. Harry turned up, and Ginny also, Hermione offered them each a fond 'good morning' but they knew enough to leave her to the book.
When the sound of Ronald's voice permeated Hermione's sphere of concentration, she had to quickly move a platter of eggs away to make room for an owl that landed on the table before her. "The post is here," she said more to herself then anyone else. Depositing the correct amount in the pouch on the owl's leg, Hermione retrieved the Prophet from the bird's beak and unrolled it. Spreading it before her, Hermione disappeared behind the pages for a good number of minutes.
By the time that she had reemerged, Ronald was already trying to scrounge some Herbology notes from poor Circe Dumbledore while Ginny seemed amused at the whole thing. "Ron," she said without preamble in a cross tone, "I thought you said you'd taken your own Herbology notes! I even watched you last lesson!" Hermione's look of stern confusion flickered toward something akin to the scorn a mother would show when a child did something against explicit orders. "Don't tell me you were just doodling again." Not the most precious 'good morning' but it would have to suffice.
