personalityDumbledore is a very charismatic character who can seem eccentric at times, talking in riddles and letting those he talks to de-code what the man really means. He is also an extremely wise man and is evident in his mannerisms and politeness to all, an example of this is even in the face of Lord Voldemort he would show no malice and sook retribution for the man.
However, at times he could lose his temper, especially in his youth, which, due to his extreme magical prowess, could cause devastating consequences. Therefore, Dumbledore tended to resort to a passive and relaxed nature that he encouraged in all of his students during his tenure as headmaster of Hogwarts.
His determination to constantly see the best in people can also have dire consequences as he can unintentionally cause things to spiral out of control that could have otherwise been resolved had he only done more initially.[/ul][/size][/color][/font][/left]

historyBorn to Kendra and Percival Dumbledore, Albus was the eldest of three children, Aberforth and Ariana. He grew up in the infamous Godrics Hollow after moving from Mold-on-the-Wold after Ariana had come under attack by a group of Muggle children and his father, angered by said attack, sook revenge on the children and possibly inflicted them to the Cruciatus Curse, arrested for life in Azkaban.
Albus’s initial start at Hogwarts was met with whispering about the crimes and rumours of his father and his family but soon his own brilliance and magical accomplishments would outshine these, it was here he struck up friendships with Elphias Doge, Bathilda Bagshot and Nicholas Flamel.
During his time at Hogwarts he was made the Youth Representative of the Wizengamot and also won the Barnabus Finkley Prize for Exceptional Spell-Casting. He was also appointed to Prefect and later Head Boy during his years of study. He is considered the greatest student the school ever had.
After his graduation Dumbledore and Doge had intended on taking the traditional ‘Grand Tour’ where they would travel the world to acquire more knowledge of the wizarding culture, however, there trip was tragically cancelled as an outburst of Ariana’s uncontrollable magic killed his mother Kendra, forcing Albus to assume the role of legal guardian of his two younger siblings, a fact that would anger Dumbledore, making him feel trapped and wasted, stuck at Godric’s Hollow. It was in this form of misery that Dumbledore met with Gellert Grindlewald, a wizard he would grow very attached to romantically. Aberforth’s distaste of Grindlewald and the plans of Wizard dominance that Grindlewald and Dumbledore had been harbouring led to a vicious three-way duel in which led to the death of Ariana.
His brilliance led to many offers to the role Minister for Magic but continuously denied it due to power being his ultimate weakness, instead Dumbledore decided to return to Hogwarts, taking up the position of Transfiguration Professor under Headmaster Dippett. He was also responsible for recruiting students, the most famous of which being Tom Riddle.
During Dumbledore’s years of teaching Grindlewald had been terrorising areas of Europe with one of the Deathly Hallows, the Elder Wand, after much delegation Dumbledore finally mustered the courage to confront him, realising he was the only wizard powerful enough to do so and after a heated duel in 1945 came out victorious, sending his old love interest to life in his own prison of Nuremgard.
Dumbledore took over the role of Headmaster after the retirement of Dippett, denying recently graduated Tom Riddle the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts Teacher after years of suspicion to the boys true intentions
In the 1970s Tom Riddle, now under the alias Lord Voldemort, began a rise to power that rivalled that of Gellert Grindlewald. Dumbledore, realising the common similarities between Riddle and Grindlewald formed a group known as the Order of the Phoenix, due to Voldemort’s fear of Dumbledore this made the group very effective.
After Voldemort’s downfall, Dumbledore delivered a recently orphaned Harry Potter to the Dursley’s before returning to his teaching.
Dumbledore’s work would lead him to become one of the most famous wizards of all time, earning him many awards, a seat on the Wizaengamot and his own Chocolate Frog Card.
When Harry eventually joined Hogwarts, Dumbledore took on the role of his mentor, a caring individual of whom Harry could turn to in a fatherly manner, but never interering enough if he believed Harry could handle the situation himself.

sample Albus Dumbledore paced his office as he awaited the Hogwarts Express to arrive down at Hogsmeade Station, looking out the window of his office along the grounds of the school, Dumbledore shuddered at the oncoming storm that was quickly approaching.
It had been a devastating summer, first of all was the death of Cedric Diggory, a bright and promising student who like many in history was simply a turning point, had he not been there then Harry’s allegation would have been perceived as even more ludicrous than it is now, at least Cedric’s death worked as some form, albeit tragic, of evidence.
“You mustn’t blame yourself Headmaster” the Sorting Hat croaked from it’s perch on the shelf
“I know” the wisened wizard responded “It’s all subjunctive though, is it not”

“Possibly” the elderly wizard chuckled as he stroked the vibrant feathers of his phoenix, Fawkes.
As he looked over towards Hogsmeade he saw an accumulation of clouds twist and grind to the ground from the clouds as the faculty who resided off-campus apparated to take up their roles once more in the school, a strange puff of pink signified the arrival of Dolores Umbridge.
Sighing, Dumbledore took his wand and his hat from his magnificent desk, turning to the hat he smiled
