Samantha had got up early to eat and then go outside to fly around the grounds. Sam was dragging a little bit as she walked to her truck to pick out clothes to wear. She pulled out a pair of jeans an a plain purple t-shirt but she also pulled out a light gray zip up just in case it was cold outside. Sam slipped her shoes not even caring to put on socks then started to walk down to the great hall. It wasn't so early that the house elves hadn't put breakfast up but it was early enough so that there would be one maybe two other students in there eating and she probably wouldn't even know then as she passed the entrance hall she got a slight chill so she threw on her jacket. Once she got to the great hall she looked out the window and noticed it was pouring down rain outside, I guess I wont be going out on a flight today, Sam thought.
She grabbed a bagel and ate it but she got bored quickly, so she decided to go on a walk through the halls of the school. The first floor was rather boring no one was on it except a few professors and then Umbridge but Sam smiled and walked right passed her not even giving her a chance to say hey or stop Sam to question her. Once Sam got to the end of the first floor she noticed some water on the ground then she saw a bunch of water flowing out of Moaning Myrtles bathroom, she was probably flooding it again because something bad happened to her again, Sam thought. She didn't really have time to go in and chat with Myrtle for six hours, or at least thats what it seemed. When she was a first year she ended up in Myrtles bathroom by accident and Myrtle went on and on about how much her life sucked. Sam didn't want another moment like that she had learned her lesson.
Sam started walking through the puddles when she remembered a time when she was younger she used to dance in puddles when or after it was raining. She would do it for hours upon hours when she was little she would even start singing and sometimes when her parents weren't busy they would come out and join her. Sam really missed those days she wished she could go back and relive them, she had so much fun when she was little and she got to spend time with her parents now whenever she is home they are always busy. Sam looked down the hall way and then behind her no one was around, and there weren't any school rules saying you couldn't dance in puddles when Myrtle flooded the bathroom. Sam started dancing around and splashing in the puddles, she was laughing and have a great time. She couldn't remember the last time she had laughed this much.

Aster whistled merrily as he strolled down the Grand Staircase from the Ravenclaw Common Room, he had intended on sunbathing on the Grounds today but the Autumn rains had hit, spoiling his plans.
As he chirped he decided he'd head down to the History of Magic classroom to hand in his essay on how Magic changed during the rule of Oliver Cromwell and into the Restoration period of Charles II in 1601. He was probably one of the only students who actually enjoyed History of Magic, evident by the fact that there was only about 6 in his NEWT class, half of them asleep.
As he turned the corner he heard splashing and giggling, curiously he looked down to see a girl dancing like a fairy in the puddles on the floor, giggling merrily to herself. He smiled, she was cute, her long and soft brunette hair cascaded her face as she danced and her pearly teeth glinted as she laughed. She had yet to notice him watching her...

All Sam could hear was her feet splashing in the water and herself laughing. She was dancing around having a good time she had no other cares in the world. She was spinning and jumping and having a blast, she could remember herself doing this when she was little, she could see the rain falling around her she loved it. Sam wished she was back home, laying outside the cottage in the grass. She loved the warm sun beating down and the smell of all the wild flowers. Sam opened her eyes and turned around.
She saw a boy actually he wasn't a boy much to old to be called that anymore he was a young man and he was standing at the end of the hall. He seemed to be watching her. Sam stopped dancing and looked back at the young man. She wasn't sure what he was doing so she walked to the end of the hall and stopped just in front of him. "Enjoying the show?" She said she was just kidding with him. Sam looked up and smiled he was actually kind of cute.
"I'm just kidding with you." Sam said just to make sure he knew she wasn't quite sure if he did or not. "My name is Sam, just in case you didn't already know that. What brings you down her on this beautifully rainy morning? Would you care to dance in some puddles with me?" Sam held out her hand for a second but decided to run down the hall and splash in a puddle instead of wait there for him to answer any of the question she asked. She never really got nervous around guys but when they were cute and she didn't even know there name she tended to be a little more shy than normal. Sam lightly yelled, "Come on it will be fun!" Then she started dancing around again.

He stiffled a chuckle as the girl stopped dancing noticing him. He kept his face straight and unresponsive as she approached him, she looked a little shy as she asked him three questions in quick succession before running away.
"The views good from where I'm standing" he called in a light Irish accent as he looked her up and down, paying close attention to her backside, he smiled "Very nice"
As she ran he grabbed her arm and spun her back around to face him, gripping her hand firmly, though not tightly, in his. He poured his oceanic blue eyes into hers as he smiled
"I'm not sure if I should be offended that you don't know me Samantha Carr" he said, he had quickly glanced at the name tag on her clothes, but she'd never know "We've been in the same year for six years now and been in quite a few classes, I think I even hit you with a bludger once"
He was toying with her, even if he had met her before he really couldn't remember. But she was cute, actually she was hot, 'supermegafoxyawesomehot' to be exact,
"Never mind" he smiled "I see introductions are in order"
He brought her hand to his mouth and gently kissed it, never breaking eye contact
"The names Aster Harkin"
Before she could reply he spun her around again, forcing her into a dancing pose as he took her hand and his hand on her waist, the tango. So close together that paper could not get between.
"Now, I believe we were going to dance?"

Sam glared at him when the boy said "the views good from where I'm standing," she smiled though because he was rather cute. Sam thought about him some more she did seem to remember him from the quidditch pitch and from a few games but she wasn't quite sure what his name is. Samantha flinched a little when he grasped her hand and was absolutely speechless when he gazed into her eyes. She couldn't help but gazed back into his eyes, they were a beautiful blue they reminded her much of the ocean.
When he spoke the words flowed and seemed as a lovely song when they reached Sam's ears she wasn't quite sure what he was saying until he said he hit her with a bludger once. "I don't think so, I have yet to be hit with a bludger." She smiled at him looked up into his eyes then glanced at the water on the corridor floor.
When he lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed it she was surprised so she flinched slightly because she wasn't used to guys doing that. Aster Harkin, the name still didn't sound familiar, but she was glad she now knew it. She smiled at and said, "It's nice to meet you Aster!" Before she could say anything else he had spun her around and put a one of his hands on her waist and took her hand in his hand. Sam put her hand on his shoulder and laughed, she had never done the tango before but she was having a lot of fun already. "I believe we were going to dance Mr. Harkin. If I would have know I was going to be dancing the tango with a really handsome gentleman I would have worn something a little nicer." Sam smiled and then looked at the ground.

Aster smiled, his gleaming teeth reflecting the ocean in his eyes, he let go of her waist momentarily and pulled out his wand and with a gentle flick he conjured a beautiful red rose from thin air, he lifted her head up and his oceanic eyes crashed like the waves into hers
"Nay, my fair maiden" he smiled "'tis I who should feel under dressed and unworthy to be in the presence of a goddess such as yourself"
He threaded the rose behind her ear and gently brushed a strand out of her face, he leant into her to whisper in her ear
"Such beauty should ne'er be see, Nay to man at any road. For tis but a rival to Aphrodite, The bless upon a fortunate soul"
He kissed her gently on the cheek before once again resuming their dance position, feeling the curves of her body beneath his soft hands as he stepped forward, leading the rhythmic pattern of dance as he made them glide above the water.
They soared across the puddles in perfect synchronicity, each movement fluid with the last and the next, he spun her around before applying pressure and dipping her in climax of the intensity of the dance. Their faces mere centimeters apart.

When he let go of her waist she wasn't quite sure what he was doing so Sam moved her hand form his shoulder but never let go of his other hand. She saw him pull out his wand and she wasn't quite sure what he was going to do until she saw the rose she smiled, she had always loved flowers ever since she was little. When he said that he was under dressed to be in the presence of a goddess, Sam almost melted. Aster had a way with words the seemed like a sweet song once they reached her ears. "Me a goddess, I think someone needs to get their eyes checked. I can take you to the nurse if you would like me too." Sam said she laughed and smiled at him.
Poems were already something Sam loved, but when a really handsome boy is whispering them into her ear, she loves them even more. Sam laughed and smiled once he was done with the poem. "Why Mr. Aster you defiantly have a way with words, I am very honored to have such a handsome, charming and poetic young man as my dancing partner." Sam smiled and laughed a little. When he kissed her on the check she blushed and looked away. She wasn't sure what to do, so she looked down the corridor.
When he resumed dancing position Sam put her hand on his shoulder again and followed his lead. As they were dancing she was laughing. There bodies glided across the water and she could feel it splashing her legs occasionally. There bodies were so close that paper would not be able to fit in between. "Well for someone I barely know, we seem to be hitting it off swell!" Sam said she laughed and they continued to dance. Then he dipped her there faces were almost touching. She wanted to lean up and kiss him but she didn't instead she blushed and looked into his eyes.

Her smile was intoxicating and he felt his heart flutter slightly, strange. He scanned her flawless skin, so smooth and her body so curvy and hot, driving his desires wild. Her hair cascading in ripples along her beauty.
"My eyesight is perfectly fine thank you" he smiled "Although perhaps the nurse could help me relocate my heart, you appear to have stolen it"
He smiled, their faces still centimeters apart, agonizingly close it was torture, her soft lips taunting him. He gave in to desire.
Gently he leant forward and closed the gap, connecting his lips with hers softly. He straightened them up so that they stood, he ran his hand from her waist up her body and onto her face, delicately smoothing her cheek before running a hand into her, with the other hand he let go of her hand and placed it on her waist, bringing her even closer

Sam laughed at Aster, "I think we both need to go to the nurse for our heart's to be relocated." She smiled at him and she actually meant what she was saying. Even though she had just meet Aster she really did like him. "So does a handsome young man like yourself have a girlfriend?" She was actually being serious she kind of wanted to know and really hoped he said no because well she had most defiantly fallen for him.
Finally Aster made the move, he closed the gap between there faces and kissed Sam. Sam kissed him back and didn't want this moment to end at all, he was handsome and charming. He loved poetry and he played quidditch. She put both of her hand behind his back holding him closer to her. She didn't want to moment to end she didn't care if Umbridge came down the hall and gave them both detention for "being to close" because of course there is now a rule against it. She was really getting sick of all those rules being enforced.
Sam pulled back for a moment and said, "So what happened to us dancing?" She laughed then kissed him again. Maybe soon they could go on an actual date and get to know each other but for now she didn't care she was enjoying this more than anything. He was so memorizing to Sam, his pearly white smile, his gorgeous blue eyes, and his extremely amazing poems that just made Sam speechless. She had always loved poems but there was something about them when Aster recited them that Sam absolutely loved.

Her question stung him. He pulled away from the kiss, regretably and looked into her eyes, the blue in his own was misty and cloudy as the memories pain swam through them. Anger filled him, he sighed. It wasn't her fault, she didn't know. He smiled weakly
"Not anymore" he choked "She died"
His mind fell backwards to the night, the flash of green light and the lifeless eyes staring back at him, he shivered.
"Those long uneven lines Standing as patiently As if they were stretched outside The Oval or Villa Park, The crowns of hats, the sun On moustached archaic faces Grinning as if it were all An August Bank Holiday lark;
Never such innocence, Never before or since, As changed itself to past Without a word - the men Leaving the gardens tidy, The thousands of marriages Lasting a little while longer: Never such innocence again."
He stared out of the window at the sky, crying. A tear dripped from his eye
"Sorry" he said wiping the tear from his eye "Quoting poetry's a bit of an irritatingly nerdy quirk, I know"
He took her hand, looking back into her eyes, he kissed her gently

Sam looked at Aster she had never seen a guy cry before. "I'm really sorry Aster, I didn't know." Sam felt really bad she wouldn't have said anything if she would have know, but she didn't know. She looked at Aster his face was a little red now because he had started to cry. She looked into his eyes and she felt really bad, she didn't know what to do. She had never experienced death in her life because no one she knew had died. Well some of her parents friends had died because of lord voldemort but no one that she would cry over.
"Quoting poetry is not a irritating nerdy quirk, it's actually rather cute I have always liked poetry." Sam said and then smiled. Aster had took her hand and kissed her, Sam took his other hand and held it and then kissed him and said, "I have never meet anyone as interesting and handsome as you Aster." She laughed and looked back into his eyes again and said, "Or someone who has the most beautiful blue eyes in the entire world." She let go of his hands and took two steps back.
She looked him over and laughed, "You seem strong I understand why you are a beater. But back to what we were originally doing dancing but this time maybe we can talk and get to know each other." Sam ran up kissed him real quick and resumed a dancing position and waited for him to lead. She asked, "So Aster, what are some things you like to do?" She looked into his eyes and smiled.

Aster smiled and continued there dance. Weaving in the puddles.
"Well let's see, I read poetry obviously and write" he said "But trust me it's not all books"
He laughed, he wasn't Hermione Granger after all.
"I also play Quidditch, Beater, and I'm also a musician and actor" he smiled, spinning her round before bringing her extremely close again
"Although the only thing I want to be doing is you" he joked as he kissed her on the nose, laughing to himself "I'm joking, don't worry "
"So then time for the big questions" he smiled "Single? Or am I gonna have to go into hiding from some boyfriend who will hex me to a pulp for kissing 'his girl'?"
He stepped back, tilting his head waiting for an answer, smirking slightly

Samantha looked into his eyes, he was an amazing dancer. She had never danced with anyone who was this good at dancing. She was laughing a lot but she usually did that when she was nervous. She liked Aster so she didn't want to mess things up so she was trying to play things cool but she wasn't good at that at all. She was laughing and smiling way to much. He had probably already figured out that she was crushing on him, and he probably thinks that it is rather gross because he would never like someone like Sam, would he? No, Sam thought he doesn't look at him he is way to nice and handsome to like me.
She listened to him tell her what he liked to do, she really liked the fact that he liked poetry. Not many people did, but Sam loved to listen and to read poetry. She thought he was a little crazy for writing poetry but that is partly because she would never be able to write poetry she was kind of jealous but it was okay she got over it quickly. He played quidditch one thing that she did to, she doesn't remember ever playing against him though but she would be distracted if she did so she is very glad she doesn't remember playing against him. "Musician and Actor, that is awesome. What have you done acting wise, and what can you play musician wise?" Same blushed she felt so dumb after she said that.
His remark about wanting to do Sam caught her off guard, almost took a step back but then Aster kissed her on the nose and told her that he was kidding. She laughing and said "You better be." Then she kissed him and looked into his beautiful blue eyes Sam could get lost in his eyes she loved them, they reminded her of her grandparents lake house. Mainly because they were as blue as the lake, they had a beautiful crystal look to them to it was almost as if she was looking at the lake but she wasn't.
Instead of answering whether or not she had a boyfriend Sam took two steps forward threw her arms around Aster and kissed him then pulled back and said, "Hell no, I don't have a boyfriend" She kissed him one more time then took a few steps backwards, she made sure she wasn't standing over any puddles and she sat on the ground or at least the was her original plan she ended up slipping a tad so she actually laid down in a puddle. She was covered in water but she really didn't care.

Aster couldn't help but giggle a little bit when the stunning Hufflepuff fell, less than gracefully into the puddles, his giggles slowly turned into roars of laughter, tears trickling from his eyes from the laughter.
Composing himself he crouched down to the ground and held out his hand, as she took it he lifted them up dragging her into an embrace. He pushed a strand of hair out of her eyes before kissing her gently
"Well Miss Carr, I think you just got one" he smiled "That is if you want me"
He stood patiently, anxious to her response, every second now feeling like eons as he gazed into her eyes and smelt her scent

Excitement ran through Sam, she smiled and then blushed. She wanted to say yes, she wanted to tell him that she did want him but ever time she opened her mouth nothing came out. She was utterly speechless so instead of telling him yes she kissed him and then finally was able to get out, "Of course I want you." She giggled a little after she said this then she smiled at him. She then took a few steps toward the wall, where the window was located. She sat on the ledge of the window and thought.
She didn't know what to say of who to react, she was still speechless which wasn't normal for her. She looked at Aster, what did a handsome man like that find in me? Is someone trying to get back at me for something I did? Sam thought and she could recall anything but you never know. She smiled and bit her lip she was super nervous and was still covered in water from when she fell into the puddle earlier.
Sam really wanted to murder Moaning Myrtle for flooding the bathrooms again she hated that fact that she was soaked but yet again she really wanted to give Myrtle a hug. If Myrtle wouldn't have flooded the bathrooms then Sam would have never of ran into Aster in the first place. She having huge puddles all over the corridor was a blessing and a curse. "So Aster what should we do, to be honest sitting here on a window ledge is rather boring." She looked over at him and laughed.
