eyes emerald. sharp. severe.
stature 5'6'' 120 lbs.
tattoos and piercings pierced ears.
distinguishing features narcissa is known for her fair features. indeed they are the fairest of all the girls of the black family and the three sisters. though her physicality is a very light version of the blacks, they possess not only a piercing quality, but a severe one that makes one immediately suppose narcissa is not only to be feared, but that she is unwavering.
flaws admittedly, narcissa has applied much of her magical abilities to sustain a look of perfection. potions, enchantments and charms take her regular pale beauty and make it something to behold. that being said, narcissa has such straight posture and strong, smooth movements that she always appears noble, but in a 'prissy' or 'snobbish' way. the way cissy enters a room immediately declares she thinks herself better then all others already present. age has not left narcissa untouched, either. her face can appear lined at times due to stress and worry; however when cissy notices this she hastens to rectify the imperfections magically.
appearance narcissa utilizes darker color schemes in her wardrobe, no doubt. when she dons emerald or the preferable black, she couples and accents them with tones of white or silver, though. the darker hues help her fair features to stand out, whilst the lighter additions bring them out even farther and compliment them. of course narcissa's garbs are always made of the most expensive materials, and any and all fabric that she wears has been enchanted not to crease, pick up dirt, light on fire and so on (though these are not guaranteed). a specific creature is often shown in narcissa's wardrobe... the spider. her jewelry is often in the likeness of a spindly arachnid as slender and intimidating as she is, and she only wears silver. all valuables that narcissa wear are also spelled to prevent robbery or theft. many times the witch's dresses will show the shape of a spider with its body in the center of her chest and its legs stretching along her form.[/ul]
I DON'T WANNA THINK LIKE YOU.
& I DON'T WANNA STINK LIKE YOU.
dislikes muggle-borns. blood traitors. filth, dirt, etc. andromeda tonks. struggle.
boggart loss of draco, lucius or bellatrix. albus dumbledore. losing her fame or fortune.
patronus spider. the memory which inspires this patronus is the thought of being with draco and lucius, safe and sound.
mirror of erised narcissa's goal is to provide herself as a capable, worthy and loyal wife, a loving and wonderful mother, and to see her son grow up and make something for himself in the world.
veritaserum narcissa would not admit, but would readily betray the dark lord and her sister to save her son.
amortentia white wine. lucius's cologne. polished silver.
personality narcissa was named just so because she was by far the most beautiful of cyngus and druella black's three daughters. so from the moment she was born, narcissa was destined to be just that... narcissistic. for narcissa malfoy is very much aware of her fair good looks, and does her utmost to keep it sterling. cissy is fond of the luxuries that her life-long wealth has provided her. the most expensive materials and the most costly past-times. in fact, if something is inexpensive narcissa doesn't like it for that reason alone.
narcissa might not be as dark or merciless as her sister bellatrix, but she is not far along. she looks at muggle-borns as scum not fit to walk the halls of hogwarts, much less marry in to the pure blood lines. muggles themselves are below the dirt under her foot and she has made sure to have nothing to do with their kind. in truth, narcissa has no knowledge of anything concerning muggles, including their devices and technologies. she has made it a point not to know.
lastly, the things that are most important to narcissa are her husband and son. lucius and draco. in tandem, two of the most important parts of her personality is being a wife and a mother. in all honesty, cissy would do anything for lucius or draco, and does. narcissa would sell her own soul without a single thought if it meant saving either of them. as such cissy is much more then an over-protective or spoiling mother. she has her own opinions and holds her own ground against lucius, but they are - in many ways - such a perfect couple that they rarely quarrel.[/ul]

blood pureblood.
history a pale and frosty night, the first in the month of january, a daughter was born unto cyngus and druella black, indeed as pale and chillingly beautiful as the night itself. druella took a single look at the babe and decided her name... narcissa... narcissa black... she was born in to a family whose blood was as pure as possible, and whose ideals and methods were as dark as any wizarding family. narcissa was the youngest of three daughters, bellatrix and andromeda. narcissa - or 'cissy' as she was called by her siblings - was taught from birth the importance of blood purity.
it was quite obvious that narcissa was to be a powerful witch, just as the other two daughters were. in one noteworthy instance, narcissa was in a heated argument with andromeda. when her elder sister turned to leave the room before cissy was done speaking, she reached out her own hand and dragged andromeda back in to the room with invisible bonds. so it was only to be expected when a letter inviting her to hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. she attended and was easily sorted in to slytherin, just as the rest of the family was... or, those that counted...
andromeda had been sorted in to hufflepuff when she went to hogwarts. this simple incident only justified, in druella and cygnus's minds, the odd and shameful way that their daughter andromeda behaved. the following years, narcissa and bellatrix did more and more to make their parents proud. both were exceptional at magic and received top marks. yet, so too was andromeda talented and academically pristine... but she was viewed differently. because she was different.
while cissy and bella stood proudly in slytherin, keeping to fellow pure bloods and remaining disgusted at muggle-borns and blood traitors, andromeda stood just as proudly in hufflepuff. narcissa completed her years at hogwarts with a prodigious flare at potions and a strong capability in charms and transfiguration. in the time that cissy spent in the corridors of hogwarts she and her sister both found great love, for narcissa it was in the form of lucius malfoy. lucius was just as fair and pale as narcissa herself, and just as cruel. when cissy graduated, bella was already married and she herself quickly became engaged and then wed to lucius.
but andromeda? she fell in love with the worst possible creature on the planet... a muggle-born... that was the final straw for the black family. she became an object of shame. she was incinerated off of the family tree and suppressed. to this day narcissa will state that she has but one sister. the other is dead. cissy and lucius inherited the malfoy's fortune and moved comfortably in to malfoy manor. while the couple became members of the social elite in the wizarding world, narcissa became pregnant. she gave birth to a boy as pale as his parents... draco...
by then lucius was chest-deep in working for the dark lord, and maintained a post as a member of his innermost circle of deatheaters. bellatrix and her husband were just as immersed, even more so, in fact. bella became obsessed with the dark lord, and became like a lieutenant to him. so it was that the two sisters grew to be masters of the dark arts each in their respected ways. bella became capable enough to blast entire monuments to ruin, while cissy took the subtler road of dark magic.
but during the entire time of the first wizarding war, narcissa retained her status of not being a deatheater. she was loyal enough to the dark lord, and did his bidding, but a dark mark she did not possess. married to lucius, cissy needn't have one, and the lack thereof enabled her the ability to go father then those in possession of it. what more, cissy concentrated most on her darling infant child, who was born during the very last portion of the war.
then the fateful night in godric's hallow occurred. the dark lord fell before none other then an infant in the forms of harry potter. after this, bella was imprisoned, leaving narcissa very heartbroken. yet lucius managed to remain free by claiming to have been under ther imperius curse, so she survived. the couple raised their son in exactly the same way that they were raised. draco went off to attend hogwarts and narcissa kept close tabs on him, seeing as the malfoys were on the board of directors. when lucius's dark mark began to burn more by the day cissy knew that the dark lord would soon arise.
and so, on the evening of the last tri-wizard task, lucius disappeared without warning and narcissa knew that the day had finally come. she was correct in that assumption. the dark lord was reborn, yet still harry potter remained alive despite his efforts. since then, narcissa has been as helpful as ever to the dark lord's cause, and helping to keep lucius calm and collected now that he is having to do his deatheater duties once more.[/ul]

Narcissa was aroused from her letter by the sound of screaming. Her eyes flicked up from the parchment, which was spread out on a desk in one of the manor's numerous parlors. The scream was definitely coming from Pyxie, the Malfoy's newest House Elf, that much Narcissa was certain. When the sound stopped, she paused for a moment before drifting down to the letter that had just gripped her attention. Two sentences she read before another scream of the same kind echoed around the room that was as pale as she was.
Narcissa thought for a moment whether or not to return to her letter, but as the same scream pierced the manor. With a powerful motion she stood, sending her high-backed padded chair skidding away. Narcissa strode swiftly across the room, the door opening of its own accord to admit her, and she disappeared in to the sprawling corridors beyond. She followed the sound of screams as she progressed through the monstrous mansion. It was only in the entrance hall that Narcissa stopped at some very curious discoveries.
There were sooty scorch marks along the floor, and the candles present were nothing but puddles of wax, still steaming. Narcissa's cold eyes bore to the grand double doors that ventured directly on to the lane that led to the manor. What was most curious was the fact that these sooty marks had covered much of the door. Another one of Pyxie's screech resounded once again, Narcissa realized with cold displeasure the House Elf was now out about the lawns making such irritating noise.
With a smooth movement, Narcissa produced her wand and flicked it off-hand toward the doors as she approached them. They opened with an ominous creek and the witch stepped in to sunlight as cold and white as she was. The emerald lawns and towering hedges of her land complimented the white of the manor itself splendidly. Narcissa's chilly features were overcome with outrage as she noticed several of her hedges were smoldering, one or two in full flame and another nothing but a smoking pile of ash.
From her perch high on the steps Narcissa could plainly see Pyxie the House Elf on one of the rolling lawns with three salamanders in full blaze surrounding her. Every time Pyxie snapped her fingers to extinguish one, the others would light it up once again and attack the House Elf for good measure. Narcissa's lip peeled away from her teeth, baring them in an expression of vicious rage. Lucius had acquired the fiery creatures to use as a ploy to discredit another member of the Hogwarts Board of Directors. Obviously they had escaped their cages and found fire enough to light for good measure.
Narcissa gave her wand a powerful slash and from the tip erupted a long column of sapphire water that gushed through the air and down the steps. With another motion of her wand, Narcissa caused that same rush of water to stay aloft, churning through the air in a rushing pillar of motion. Narcissa walked down the stairs as the water twisted in a large circle around her back, guided by a wide motion of her wand and arm. By the time the witch reached the gravel drive, she thrust her wand with a tone of finality toward Pyxie, who was now merely cowering under a flaming onslaught, holding up her hands to magically keep it at bay.
The stream of water at Narcissa's command roared upward and took a sudden dive fifty yards in the air. On its way down, the current split in to three powerful streams which pounded with abrupt watery explosions on the salamanders. Narcissa wasted no time, however. With a violent brandish of her wand three flashes of light were unleashed from its tip and disappeared in to the vapor and mist created when such water met the salamanders. Once everything cleared, it was to show three creatures who were now pale blue instead of white-hot, and Pyxie the House Elf looking scared for her life.
"You," Narcissa rounded at once, "how dare you allow these abominations to escape!" Pyxie cowered and muttered a steady stream of apologies, but the witch cut her off. "Excuses!" Cissy slashed her wand through the air and there was a sound as if a bull whip cracking. Pyxie squealed and fell backward, a long bloody gash opening across her knuckles. "How dare you allow them to destroy the grounds!" Another slashing motion, another flash of light, and Pyxie gasped in pain. "Kill these monsters," she said, now calmer but colder as well, "I care not what my husband has in store for them, this is inexcusable."
Narcissa turned on her heel and walked purposefully toward the manor. With a wave of her wand all fires went out on the grounds. Another nonchalant albeit complicated gestures caused the leaves to regrow, entire hedges to bloom anew, returning everything as it was. Narcissa stepped in to the manor and the doors closed in her wake. "Stupid House Elf," she hissed under breath.
