Once more around the pitch (Slytherin Tryouts)

[Luke Owens]

Luke Owens was the captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team. So this often meant he was seen carrying his broom about as he is a very avid flier. This was Luke's second year as captain and as a result another player who had hoped that he'd leave the team to studied for his N.E.W.T's complained saying that last year he couldn't always understand him when flying at high speeds because of his Canadian accent. Luke had found this very offensive. He told some of the professors and one in particular stood up for him despite her being the stand in for the head of ravenclaw house. Professor De Noir was outraged at this as she too had a accent, one much heavier than Luke's as she was french and wasn't taught to speak English too when she was growing up unlike Luke. Though Dumbledore resolved the matter saying that accents had nothing to do with it.

The boy went off in a huff but would have to learn to deal with it. He had half a mind to let Jimmy terrorising him and he wouldn't pull him away as he usually had to do. There was an art to control his youngest brother which was to always carry Bertie bott's every flavour beans with you as the little fourth year went nuts for them. Luke didn't now why he just did. And because of that you could get him to do more or less anything for you except do your homework as Jimmy hardly ever did his own. Though Jimmy did do some things that made Luke laugh like toilet paper a girl from head to toe who had fallen asleep in the gryffindor common room one night. He felt sorry for the people in his house as he bet that he was a constant terror to everyone, running around and screaming his head of like a little annoying banshee that would never shut up.

Sighing Luke shock his head as he made his way towards the slytherin changing room at the quidditch stadium. He didn't really have the robe up in full robes for tryouts he just needed to put the padding on over his clothing. Reaching the changing room that was emblazoned in green and silver with many showings of the house iconic snake dotted around Luke made his way over to the cupboard where the teams brooms where kept. Opening it up he found his broom which he took in his hand. The way the wood felt under his palm was just right so she shut the cupboard before he set it on one of the benches and strapped on his padding.With that done he grabbed his broom and head out onto the pitch setting his broom down outside the stroage cupboard as he got out a few spare brooms, practice quaffles, bludgers, snitch and bats along with a box full of slytherin tryout jeresy for people to put on himself included even though he was the one person who definatly had a postion on the team being the captain.

[Aidan Wraith]

Aidan walked into the Slytherin changing rooms idly glancing over the green and silver decorations eyes halting over some of the snake motifs, he'd have to make sure to be careful where he looked when talking if he made the team, his ability as a Parselmouth had an annoying habit of kicking in if he looked at even a picture of a snake while talking to others. Even though it was considered a trait of the true heirs of Slytherin himself he knew that it creeped out some of his other housemates and he tried not to speak it often around others, shaking his head free from his thoughts he brought himself back to the present, he was here to tryout for the position of Keeper on the Slytherin Quidditch team, he'd wanted to tryout for it the year before but the position had already been filled and he wasn't really interested in any of the other positions. However the position was now open and seeing his chance he had smirked when the note had gone up in the Slytherin Common Room informing those there about tryouts for the team and when to be there

He'd instantly gone to his dorms and un-shrunk his broom which he'd placed in his trunk and checked it over to make sure it was in top condition and not going to hinder him when the time came, his broom was a Nimbus 2001, sleek in design and black in colour he'd only used it before for casual flying when he had needed to clear his head

Now he was quickly changing into the flying gear his father had sent him when he'd told him he was trying out for the team, the padding simply tying on over his under robes for his uniform before he headed out onto the field, he spotted Luke Owens the Captain already stood there waiting and approached him confidently

"My name's Aidan Wraith I'm here to tryout for the position of Keeper," he introduced himself politely one hand out in greeting

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco sneered as he walked through the halls of Hogwarts on his way to the Quidditch Pitch, he had his trusty Nimbus 2001 in one hand and his Quidditch gear already on, he was not happy about having to tryout for the position he had held since second year on the team, he'd made Seeker fair and square and he saw no reason why he had to tryout once more

Passing through the large front doors of Hogwarts he practically hissed in anger at a young first year that got in his way, smirking to himself when they jumped out of his path quickly as if afraid he would bite before walking down the front steps and turning to walk in the direction of the Quidditch stands, cold grey eyes glaring in the direction he thought Luke Owens would be standing in

Storming into the changing rooms he quickly discarded his outer robe on to one of the snake shaped pegs within the room and proceeded out onto the pitch where he spotted Luke Owens already stood with one other, taking long strides he quickly approached them

"What is the meaning of this farce of a tryout Owens? I am Slytherin's Seeker no one else, why should I have to tryout for the position again, you know as well as I do that there are no better flyers than me and you," he sneered angrily at Luke before turning his piercing gaze at Aidan who stood beside him, one hand raising to jab a finger pointedly at his chest

"You had better not be trying out for my position on this team or else," he threatened dangerously, he looked the boy over and realised it was the boy who he had seen during the opening feast glaring hatefully at Dolores Umbridge
