Hermione sat in the library like she usually did, alone. She stared down into the book she was reading. A book on the history of Hogwarts. It wasn't like she had anywhere else to be.. Classes had ended for the night. She had thought about looking for Harry or Ron, but her feet brought her to the Library instead. This was one of her favorite places to be. It was relaxing, quiet, peaceful.. Things she couldnt get in a place like the common room. She flipped the page in her book and smiled.
When she finished, she stood up, her pony tail swinging behind her. She had her wand tucked into her jeans and felt it hitting her stomach. She pulled it out and walked back to the shelf where she had found the book. She placed it back and started to look for another one. She walked down all the aisles and finally settled on one about potions. She sat down at a table and laid her wand down on the table, opening the book. Hermione began to read slowly, her eyes catching every single word. Most of the potions she'd heard of before, but the new ones caught her attention even more.
She looked around, just checking to see if anyone was around, and then settled back into her book.

Rain ruined everything including quidditch practice. Cho had nothing else to do other than her charms paper. She walked back to the common room to grab her things. When she got there she decided to change out of her quidditch warm ups and into a pair of jeans and a light blue shirt. She walked through the common room and picked up her charms book, some parchment, and a few quills. She felt like the library would be a wonderful place to write her paper, she would have all the books and people to help her out. Cho felt like running though the corridors but walked at a fast pace. She didn't want Umbridge to yell at her for running and make her write with a blood quill.
Cho got the the library and walked in she could smell all the books, she smiled and spin around there was nothing she loved more than a library. She looked around the tables for an empty one but she couldn't find one so she went through the books to see if she could find one to help her out. She found history of charms, basic charms, and then charms origins; everything you need to know about charms and more. She didn't find any that interested her so she decided to walk back to the area where the tables were.
When she got there she noticed that all the table were still full so she started to turn around and to leave when she noticed that a girl was sitting in the corner of the library at a table that consisted of just her. Cho walked closer and noticed it was Hermione, Cho smiled and said, "Hey Hermione! Do you mind if I join you?" Cho looked at Hermione and then down at the empty chair across the table. She hoped Hermione would say yes because Cho would have to go back to the common room and write her paper since all the other tables were full.

Hermione was reading about polyjuice potions, something shes already had experience in, when Cho came over. Although Hermione would prefer sitting alone, she nodded when Cho asked to join her. She tried her best to give her a friendly smile.
"So, what are you in the library for tonight?" she asked, just trying to be polite. It wasn't that she didn't like Cho, they just weren't close. Hermione pushed her hair over her shoulder and looked back down at her book, wondering if she could focus enough to finish it, even though she wasn't alone. She pulled her wand off the table and placed it in her lap. She wasn't using it, and it wasn't like she was getting ready to attack someone, she just didn't want to leave it out.
Hermione adjusted herself and the chair to get comfortable again and started to read where she left off, although she wasn't really paying attention anymore. The words just seemed to dance past her eyes, although she didn't really read any of them. She sighed softly, and turned the pages until she found a new potion to learn about.

There was a something that told Cho that Hermione didn't really want her there but she stayed sitting there. "I have to do te charms paper, I'm really getting tired of all the homework we are having in that class. What brings you down here?" Cho said she looked at Hermione then Cho opened her book and began to read through the pages trying to find what she wants to write about. She looked around the library seeing if she knew anyone else who was wondering about, then she looked down at her paper and noticing it was still empty.
The charms assignment was tol pick a charm and write about it but Cho wasn't sure what charm she wanted to write about she looked at the book some more then said, "What is a charm you find interesting Hermione? I can't seem to find one." Cho flipped through some more pages of her book hoping that she would figure one out soon or that Hermione would answer with some charm that would work.
Cho picked the book up and flipped back to the index to read through the names, as she was doing this she noticed that Hermione put her wand on her lap. Cho wasn't sure why Hermione did this but she didn't ask she just continued to attempt to find a charm. Each one just flew past her eyes she didn't really catch any of the words. She closed her book and got up from the table really fast. She went of to the selves and found a couple of more charms books then she went back to the table. "Sorry about leaving for a few minutes there, I needed to grab a few more books." She smiled at Hermione when she was done talking then opened one of the books and started reading through it

Hermione definitely preferred to be alone while she was reading her book, but she wasnt going to be rude to Cho because of it. She listened to her speak, and then thought about her question. She wasnt really there for anything. "Just reading," she answered. Hermione should have realized that Cho was there for charms, since she had a collection of books about them.
"I find the Colloportus charm very interesting. Its the spell that seals doors.. So people cant open them." she suggested with a polite smile. "Even Diffindo is an interesting charm.. It separates things into pieces." She laughed. "For my paper, I wrote about Obliviate. The memory charm. Ive always found it interesting since my second year." She thought about her old Defense against the Dark Arts professor. Lockhart. He accidentally used a memory charm on himself while trying to erase her friends memories. She shook her head.
Hermione watched her get up and walk away, only to see her come back with more books. "Here. Let me help you." She reached across the table and opened one of the books to the Diffinido charm. "This one is truly fascinating. I havent really had the chance to try it yet.. but the idea of it.. I cant wait to try!" She said, with a serious smile on her face.
The idea of learning new things about the wizarding world always made her happy.

Hermione had an great knowledge about charms, Cho thought that the Diffinido charm seemed rather interesting, she very much so agreed with Hermione about the charm. Once Hermione had opened the book the book to the page about the charm Cho read through it not wanting to stop she found out a lot of interesting things about the book she was impressed at all the things she could do with the charm. "Thanks Hermione, you were right this charm is rather interesting! I would love to try it out sometime too." She said and then she smiled.
Cho looked down at the array of books she had on her table she didn't want to get up and put them back so instead she took out he wand and had the books go back to the selves by themselves without doing anything herself. She absolutely loved magic, Cho put her wand on the table and picked the book up again. "It says that you can cut through nearly anything with this charm! This could be rather useful but at the same time rather dangerous. Well that is if the wrong person used it." Cho gulped thinking about all the things that could happen if a death eater went around using this charm.
Looking at her parchment she figured she better start writing down her essay about the charm. She picked up the quill and wrote 'Diffinido Charm' at the top she figured it was a rather good title simple and to the point. She started writing down all of the different facts and thing you could do with the charm. Cho smiled because she already had half her parchment filled and there was still so much more to do. "This truly is one of the most interesting charms I have ever read through in my entire life. Thanks again Hermione for suggesting it to me. It really has been a huge help!" Cho continued to read through the section in the book writing down more and more.

Hermione picked a piece of parchment off the table and held it up, grinning. "Hey Cho, do you want to try it now?" She smiled. She wasnt breaking any rules since she was in school... And Hermione had always been quite gifted when it came to magic.
"It could be fun.. And a great experience for your paper." Studying. That was Hermione's idea of fun. She really loved learning. It was like candy to her. She stared at the wand in her lap and back up at the parchment. "What do you think? Should we try? For your homework, of course."

The ink seemed to flow across the parchment, as Cho's mind was flowing fast then Hermione said something that surprised Cho. Hermione said that they should try the charm. Of course it would be amazing to try out the charm but she didn't think it was a good idea at first then after a few more minutes hermione started talking again. "I think you are right, for the paper of course." She looked at Hermione and picked up her wand. At first she was still a little bit worried about whether or not they would get caught since they weren't supposed to do authorized magic. But she didn't really care if she got caught there was a lot more to be worried about than some stupid little blood quill.
Cho wondered what they would do the charm on there were many things in the library they could use like an old book, or maybe a spare bit of parchment. Someones lost quill or anything to be honest there were tons of things that won't be missed if they used the charm on them. Cho picked up her quill and added a few more things to her essay after she tried the charm out she would be able to quickly finish the essay and not have any worries. She looked at the book again and then u to hermione as she dropped her quill on the parchment. "what should we try the charm on?" Cho asked and then she smiled as she looked around the library for anything they could use.
