Harry had woke up early that morning to make sure he still had everything he needed for the first practice of the year. He didn't want to get down to the pitch and realized that he was missing a beater bat or something along that lines. Today was the first practice of the year and he was more than excited for it. He ran through the corridors to grab some breakfast along with the other early birds. But when he got there nothing looked extremely appetizing, so he quickly ate a muffin and grabbed a glass of milk before he went down to the pitch. No one else was really up and if they were they were the ones sitting and there house tables with a quill and parchment getting a start on next weeks homework.
The quidditch pitch had been booked for the whole day by Harry. He wasn't sure how long they would end up practicing but he figured it wouldn't be more than a few hours but just in case. When Harry got to the pitch he put the tub with all the balls down in the center than he put the beaters bats and all the other random things they needed for the day. Since it was there first practice Harry would have to hand everything out but after this practice he wouldn't have to anymore since the players would bring it down themselves. Harry grabbed his broom to make sure it was still looking good and of course it did. Ever since Hermione got him the broom cleaning kit he cleaned it every day. He was more than happy, that his godfather had got him the firebolt.
Looking around he noticed that no one had come down to the quidditch pitch from his team yet. So he decided to do some warm up laps, just to get used to his broom again. He jumped on and went flying around the pitch. He was going rather slow at first but after a few laps his speed increased and increased each lap until he was going so fast the he was starting to get dizzy. Harry was laughing and smiling as he looked around the pitch he had never had so much fun in his life. He loved the rushing wind through his hair, hearing all the animals and seeing the tops of the trees in the forbidden forest. Which wasn't so forbidden since Harry had already gone in it countless times. But they were never by his choice it was always cause of detention, or Hagrid and Dumbledore told him too. And there was that one time when he and Hermione had to run through it to get away from Lupin.
Harry noticed a few sleepy people walking down from the castle so he stopped where he was and slowly went down toward the ground. He was happy to see that people were actually coming to practice a few minutes before it started instead of late. His feet hit the ground and he unmounted the broom. Harry then walked toward the middle of the pitch where everything was located he placed his broom gently on the ground and smiled standing there waiting for everyone to come over before he began practice. He was excited since this was his first year being captain but he was also rather scared since a lot of pressure was on him to win. He smiled as the first few people came up and said, "Hey, were just going to wait for a few more people to get here before we start." He smiled at them and then looked as more people were coming up to the pitch.
