However they both have a serious and mature side and are prepared to fight for what they believe in, they also share a huge sense of pride and love for their family and will risk anything to protect those they love.
Even though they are almost identical in their mannerisms there are a few small differences, Fred is more outspoken and takes on a more ringleader role over the two, whereas George is quitter and more sensible. historyBorn to Arthur and Molly Wasley as the fourth (and fifth) sons in 1978. The identical twins were (coincidentally) born on the April Fools Day 1978, a day where practical jokes are renowned and celebrated worldwide that matched their future personalities and way of life, possibly even being their favourite ‘holiday’. The two were named after their recently deceased twin uncles Fabian and Gideon Prewett
The two grew up into a large, albeit poor, pure-blood family that struggled to make ends meet, however they managed to find a lighter side in everything. They regularly played pranks on their other brothers, mainly Percy and Ron. When they were seven, Fred turned one of Ron’s teddy-bears into a spider after the younger sibling broke his toy broomstick, igniting the boys arachnophobia.
At the age of eleven the twins began their education at Hogwarts and were sorted, like the three brothers before them and their parents before that, into Gryffindor. In their first year they made a strong friendship with Lee Jordan as well as future Quiddith team mates, Oliver Wood, Angelina Johnson, Alicia Spinnett and Katie Bell. Within their first year they had already made themselves infamous amongst students and staff for their practical jokes, they instantly made an enemy of the school’s caretaker Argus Filch. It was also in their first year that they managed to swipe the mysterious but beneficial Marauder’s Map from Mr Filch’s office
In their second year they became Beaters for their house Quidditch team
At the start of their third year they met the infamous Harry Potter who had been struggling to work out how to get through the barrier and onto Platform 9 ¾ . In this year they also spent the Christmas holidays along with the other Weasley’s, where they bewitched snowballs to follow Professor Quirrell around, trying to knock off his turban – of which concealed Voldemort underneath.
In their fourth year they stole their fathers enchanted car in order to rescue Harry from a tormented summer living with the Dursleys and took him back to the Burrow, much to their mothers fury but to their father’s intrigue. Early on in the year they came to fellow Gryffindor Hermione Granger’s aid when Draco Malfoy called her a Mudblood, lunging at the second year Slytherin only to be blocked by Marcus Flint. They also were struck by fear at the growing worry of the heir of Slytherin, although when the whole school believed it to be Harry the twins never took it seriously.
Before their fifth year there father had one a huge cash prize that had paid for a trip for their whole family to Egypt, while there they had tried to lock Percy into the Pyramids due to his extensive pompous attitude following his assignment to Head Boy. Their fifth year was shrouded by the panic over the escape of Sirius Black, they also gave Harry the Marauders Map they had acquired years before now having learned all the passages off by heart. The summer of their fifth year was spent coaxing up their own brand of practical jokes as they began to seek a profession from their passion of practical jokes.
At the end of the summer they attended the Quidditch World Cup, supporting Ireland. Here they made a bet of all their money against Ludo Bagman, who never paid his debt, Fred then threatened to report him if he did not pay. The twins were determined to compete in the Triwizard Tournament despite being a few months too young, however, despite taking an aging potion, they were still no match to Dumbledore’s age line. Accepting defeat they began accepting bets on the competitors in order to make money for their business. Fred also began dating Angelina Johnson, asking her to the Yule Ball and also proving to Ron and Harry how easy it was to ask a girl out. They were both astounded by the declaration that Voldemort had returned and were deeply hurt by the murder of Cedric Diggory and accepted Harry’s winnings gratefully in order to start up their business.
After successfully passing their apparition tests they have spent their summer trying to entertain and lighten the dark atmosphere of 12 Grimmauld Place, the Headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix….

Neither of the twins looked at each other, their backs to each other, the silence was toxic and heavy, had a pin dropped it may have set off one of their products.
“Fred?” George said, cutting through the silent barrier between them
Fred turned and nodded, acknowledging he had heard but still not speaking
“You feel it too?” George sighed
Fred stayed unresponsive, their eyes meeting, both glassy from the fear they were holding back. Slowly, he nodded.
“We’ll be fine” he said huskily, not really believing it himself “Trust me it will take a brave Death Eater to try and take us-“
“Don’t!” George interrupted “This is bigger than us now”
The silence took hold of them again, as neither of them could look each other in the eye. Neither of them needed to say it, neither of them could, but they both had the same feeling, that nagging feeling and realisation that they would not be leaving this war the same way they entered it.
“Hey” Fred said, grasping his brother shoulder, a flicker of a smile crawling across his face as he held up his wand “Let’s make a promise that we make every second count, yeah?”
“Yeah” George said an identical smile coming over his identical face
The two boys raised their wands up high
“The Game is a foot!” they both announced “Follow your spirt and upon this charge- Cry, God for Harry, England and St. George”
With that the two disapparated, the dark times expanding by the second…
